“IF YOU DON’T SEE THE BOOK YOU WANT ON THE SHELF, WRITE IT.”
— BEVERLY CLEARY
Writing is my escapism and my catharsis.
I wish to make it my job as well.
Like many writers, I experience a medley of mental disorders.
I grew up in a relatively conservative Christian family and went to an Independent Fundamental Baptist academy for five grades. The trauma I experienced from the strict gender roles, homophobia, and misogyny still haunts me to this day. It is my writing that brought me out of the darkest days.
